On June 19, the Ambassador of the European Union Amador S\u00e1nchez Rico, together with a delegation of officials from Brussels, visited the industrial fishing effluent management facilities managed by Rawson Ambiental S.A.<\/p>\n

On that occasion, they were able to observe the strong investment made by the group of fishing companies that are shareholders of RASA for the solution of common environmental problems related to the development of industrial activity.<\/p>\n

Starting from the Port of Rawson, both the EU Ambassador's delegation and representatives of several NGOs linked to conservation, toured the effluent pumping and conduction stations, to complete the visit to the fishing liquid treatment basins.<\/p>\n

From there they continued with their agenda, signing in the Foyer of the \"Jos\u00e9 Hern\u00e1ndez\" Cultural Center of the capital city, agreements with the Municipal Executive of Rawson, one of which is the subsidy of the project REINFORCING THE RESILIENCE OF THE MARINE PROTECTED AREAS OF THE ARGENTINA.
\nThis project, which will be coordinated by the Conservation of the Patagonian Sea and Areas of Influence Forum and implemented by public and private organizations, is part of the Cooperation between the European Union and the Argentine Republic on marine biodiversity.<\/p>\n

RASA, in a permanent commitment to environmental protection and care, has actively joined the Project, which plans to work on four lines of action:<\/p>\n

1. The strengthening of the adaptive management of coastal and marine protected areas that allows adjusting actions based on evidence and the monitoring of biodiversity indicators.
\n2. The adoption of good fishing practices in the vicinity of protected areas, to reduce the bycatch of species of special value (sharks, birds, and marine mammals).
\n3. Reducing the amount of plastic waste from fishing that accumulates on beaches and aquatic habitats in marine and coastal protected areas.
\n4.
