Every three months, the cleaning and maintenance of the sixteen (16) aerators in the treatment lagoons are carried out. These units, which operate 24/7, 365 days a year, provide oxygen to the liquid to be treated and thereby oxidize the organic matter. The quarterly maintenance consists of cleaning the floating pontoons that keep them on the surface with a steel brush, greasing each motor, tightening the bolts, and recording the amperages on a spreadsheet. On this occasion, a fault was detected in motor No. 7 of Lagoon 2, which was removed for inspection in the workshop.
