This spring, Dr. Nelda Olivera and her team from the Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratory at the Patagonian Institute for the Study of Continental Ecosystems (IPEEC) (CCT CONICET-CENPAT) will begin studying the microbiome of the rhizosphere of halophytic plants that have grown irrigated with treated fishing liquids, which are also brackish. They will take samples from the ATRIPLEX units they planted and will also study the rhizomes of the Salicornias. We are eager to see what results the tests will yield.
