As we do every six months, we carry out the shutdown of the pumping stations for their semi-annual maintenance.
They were completely emptied and washed with a pressure washer and surfactant. The lifting chains were replaced due to corrosion, as was the EE1's wire mesh basket.
Maintenance was performed on the four installed pumps, which included replacing some chains and shackles. One pump was removed for workshop maintenance, and its spare pump, which had been in storage, was brought in.
