We have received the results from the UNS Bahía Blanca Beekeeping Studies Laboratory on the honey produced at RASA. In addition to being exquisite, it is of excellent quality.
The results of the CFU for fungi and yeasts have determined that the sample complies with the CAA.
Regarding coliforms, the cultured boxes showed no colonies; they were negative (<30 CFU, reported). The MPN technique, which more thoroughly searches for this group of microorganisms, found no positive tubes; it is reported as ≤3. Therefore, this parameter also met the limits established by the CAA.
Regarding the complementary microbiological analyses, the presence of Salmonella spp. and/or Shigella spp. was ruled out due to the negative results of selective enrichment in all samples. Finally, the sample presented <30 CFU of the aerobic spore-forming bacilli sought.
The quantification of Hydroxymethylfurfural showed very low values (0.0678 mg W/W).
Agradecemos al apicultor José García que lleva adelante este proyecto
